Triumph

Today I decided to pull a card from the John Holland Psychic Tarot oracle cards for you all. I drew #7 the Triumph card. A man on horseback, holding a red banner, rides forward with confidence, light illuminating the background of the painting.

The basic meaning of the card is movement forward. The rider does not turn back, but moves forward confidently. It IS possible to micromanage one's life and to block success by being too worried about how desired things and situations are going to come to you (kind of like how the scale never seems to budge when you're dieting and you get obsessed with when is the next pound going to drop?!) However, the Triumph card is about deliberately setting your goals, and then partnering with God to be guided to the next action on your path. To trust in guidance, and wait for the next piece of guidance. And the next one.

The angels say:

There are those who never check in with the spiritual and intuitive side, who are constantly acting from a place of blind action. And there are those who keep checking their oracle cards or looking for signs, who never seem to get to the point of action. You can't get very far with either approach. Balance between divine guidance and guided human action is key.

Just as you're unlikely to find a job if you don't submit your resume and interview, doing the internal intentions without doing any external work won't get you far on your path. You need both. In the Bible, there is talk of faith and works. Faith is key, but "works" such as more compassionate and loving behaviors, are a sign that a person has been moved to change by faith, and that they have really had a change of heart.

We ask you to examine a goal you've had that seems to be stagnating. Make a list on two sides of a sheet of paper. One is inner work, and the other is outer. See how balanced they are. For example, if you want to lose weight, make sure that there are external actions such as eating healthier or counting calories and taking walks--and that there are inner actions such as positive self-talk, or journaling, etc. If you are imbalanced between inner/spiritual ways and outer/physical ways of making things happen, then ask us angels how to rebalance things. We will help you.
